Peter Whitehead's Baby Doll features model, actress, and heiress Mia Martin, who was also a Benny Hill Show girl, as the sole live subject in surreal, erotic photographs exploring identity, sexuality, and psychedelic experiences in Southern France during 1972. The stark black-and-white images, published in 1997, were taken during the making of Whitehead's film Daddy, and Mia Martin's transformation is central to the disturbing visual diary.
